CYBERATHLETE AND READYUP SUPPORT HUMANITARIAN RELIEF FOR UKRAINE

Global Campaign is a call to the esports community – tournament operators, leagues, game developers, streamers, teams and players – to step up and support the Ukraine war effort through influence

Cyberathlete, one of the oldest professional esports brands and tournament operators, and ReadyUp, a community marketing platform, announced the “Esports for Ukraine” campaign, which aims to donate up to $250,000+ to support those impacted by the Ukraine War through a partnership with World Central Kitchen (WCK).

Starting today, anyone can contribute to the “Esports for Ukraine” campaign to help feed those impacted by the war.

Why should gamers participate:

The conflict in Ukraine has cause millions of men, women, and children to flee their homes and become refugees.  Just a few weeks ago some of these people were watching our streams, in esports tournament, or just playing games for fun… They were “US”. Now millions of dollars are needed per week just to give them enough food and water to keep them alive.  We have the power of our communities to help make a huge impact.

Our Goal:

We have set a minimum goal of $10,000 per week donation, but each time we receive $10,000 in donations, or T-shirts sales the money will be immediately sent.

WAYS TO PARTICIPATE:

Purchase a T-shirt: Cyberathlete and ReadyUp will be working with artists, content creators, and esports teams from around the world to produce new t-shirt designs every two weeks. 100% of the profit from the t-shirt sales will be sent over weekly to WCK.

Esports Teams/influencers: Teams and influencers who would like to participate in a more direct and meaningful way with their communities can contact Cyberathlete to have a custom t-shirt made for their audience. All art costs will be covered by Cyberathlete and credit for the donation to WCK is given to the influencers.

Become a Corporate Sponsor:  Companies wanting to participate in donating can do so by becoming a sponsor of Cyberathete’s 25^th anniversary global esports collegiate event. Cyberathlete will match that sponsorship amount in direct donation to WCK up to $250,000. Company recognition of the donation to humanitarian efforts is optional.

Below is the humanitarian relief organization we are supporting. They are on the ground in Ukraine, Poland, Romania, Hungry and Moldova providing healthy food and clean water daily.

WORLD CENTRAL KITCHEN

Founded by Chef José Andrés, WCK began serving hot, nourishing meals within hours of the initial invasion that started February 24th, and are now set up in Hungary, Moldova, Poland, Romania, and Ukraine. WCK is now serving more than 180,000 hot meals per day, and as this crisis is evolving rapidly, this number will continue to grow.

In addition to hot meals, WCK is distributing bulk food product including produce and dry goods to restaurant partners in Ukraine to supplement the strained food supply chain.

WHAT PURCHASES COUNT TOWARDS SUPPORTING PEOPLE AFFECTED BY THE WAR IN UKRAINE? 

All purchases made on our store site www.ogevo.tech will be used toward our humanitarian efforts to keep refugees fed.

HOW QUICKLY IS CYBERATHLETE SENDING FUNDS TO THE RELIEF ORGANIZATION WORLD CENTRAL KITCHEN? 

Donations will be transferred weekly. We’re not waiting for the actual funds to come in from our platform and payment partners, which can take a while depending on how the transaction was processed. Cyberathlete will track the total amount of transactions in a given week and pay out accordingly.

THESE ITEMS SEEM EXPENSIVE, HOW MUCH OF MONEY GOES TO WCK? 

In order to keep the cost on inventory down on these limited run, custom products Cyberathlete has teamed with Printful.com to print “On Demand” While the cost per unit is higher, it allows for more special products with various artist, and is in line with the cost of a t-shirt at a concert or sporting event.

100% of the net profits from sales throughout the world (approximately $10.00), excluding taxes, third-party platform fees, refunds, returns, or reversals is paid out. Net profits is equal to the gross net of returns & chargebacks, billing costs, bandwidth cost, operations cost, and taxes.

The ReadyUp Twitch Extension lives below your stream and displays the fundraiser for Esports for Ukraine. After activating the widget, it is completely hands-off.

The Widget ID you’ll use during setup is 39799a84-7678-44e8-bf50-f60ad9da0fe0

Step 1 – Sign in to Twitch and access the ReadyUp Twitch Extension using this link: https://dashboard.twitch.tv/extensions/lx5db8vycmio4ascv35jozl47phe2x

Step 2 – Press Install, then Configure. Paste the Widget ID provided above in the “Widget ID” box and leave the other fields blank. Hit Save.

Step 3 – To activate the extension to display on your Twitch page, start by going to the Extensions section in your dashboard: https://dashboard.twitch.tv/extensions

Step 4 – Click on the My Extensions tab. In the ReadyUp box, press Activate and select what panel slot you’d like the extension to appear in under your stream. If unsure, just use Panel 1.

Step 5 – Navigate to your Twitch channel’s “About” tab and check below the video player to ensure the extension is installed and visible. Done!
